Treasures From Bengal – An Anthology Of Selected Bengali Short Stories
The Anthology is a collection of Bengali Short Stories spanning a timeline of more than 120 years. The first story of the collection, ‘Kabuliwallah’, by Rabindranath was first published in 1893 and the last one ‘No Lies in Her Fire’, by Asha Naznin in 2015. The Anthology covered the nuances of the social and political turmoils of the intervening period and the trauma of the upheavals witnessed by the society within the timeline.
Masterpieces of some of the best Bengali writers from both Bengals come alive in these twenty four short stories with their love and rejection, humor and chilling emotion, tragedy and unity.
